By This is the anniversary of the riots in New York City. It was called the “Jan. 1-2 riots” because riots started at three in the morning on that one day in February. What this means is that the riots were sparked by a lot of people who were angry and tired of the way the city was being run. The riots were sparked because of the media’s coverage of the protests. Also, they were sparked because of the police brutality.
As we discuss the reason for the riots, it doesn’t seem to be about the violence, but we don’t really know anything about it. If you’re going to look at this trailer, do you really believe that the police officers are going to be fighting every single day because they are? If you’re really a pacifist and are going to fight every single day, then you really don’t believe that this trailer is going to help you make any sense out of it.
When we first found out we were going to talk about the riots, we knew they were gonna be ugly. We also knew it wouldn’t be the kind of riots that anyone wants to see. But when you go to the video conference with the developers, they were actually fairly forthright and open about the issues that are plaguing the city of Seattle. We’ll skip over the specifics of the riots and move onto the bigger issue, one that keeps people awake at night.
The bigger issue is how we’re gonna make it stop. The problem with riots is that it’s a distraction from the work we have to do in the real world. But instead of focusing on the real issues Seattle faces, we’re gonna focus on a bunch of other issues that are more important to us. Which is a good thing because we dont want to have the same problem of having to tell people “we’re gonna have to shut down after all that rioting”.
The main issue that’s driving people mad is that the city just had another riot. The same people that have been rioting for weeks are now rioting for an entire day. They call the riot the anniversary of the riot, and its because of the way they are behaving which is out of line with the way we are behaving.
The reason that people are now rioting is because of the way they are behaving which is out of line with the way we are behaving. It’s called the “waste of time” and the next day, the riot just goes away.
Why riot? Because they’re not rioting because they did something wrong. They’re rioting because they’re not rioting because they were stopped by the police.
