By I know what people are going to say about this, that it is really “sneaker” and “sand” to say so, but please don’t be fooled by the title. This is a great post from reddit on the topic of self-awareness. The quote, “a person who can recognize and deal with fear will be in a great position to cope with fear,” is the first of a long series of quotes in the post.
It’s just a quote from reddit founder reddit sanders, and it’s all about being aware of what’s going on around you. Sanders said, in the post, that the main way to deal with fear is to recognize it exists and deal with it in a rational way. It’s not enough to just run away from it.
Sanders also said that there are three main ways to deal with fear. You can run from it, you can fight it, or you can identify it and deal with it. The first two methods sound very self-aware, and all of the quotes are very self-aware. The third method is a way that most people don’t get it. They think it’s all about getting scared silly.
There are three main ways to deal with fear: to acknowledge that there is a fear, to fight it, and to identify what is making you fear it. I think it is so easy to just run from a fear. If someone tells you to run away from something you can easily say, “well, I dont want to run away. I want to run toward it.
The first method is called “desensitization.” This is a technique used by therapists to “overcome” your fear of a certain situation by making it into a “problem.” Instead of actually trying to overcome your fear, they just tell you all kinds of scary things about how you are so powerless that if you do something to solve it you will “lose your job, you will lose your home, etc.
So, if you are a regular reader of this blog, you know that I love to play with my kids. I love to pretend I am a superhero when I am not, and this is why I love the ‘Superhero’ game we were recently playing. I am not a superhero, I am a player.
So, as a superhero, I am a person who is so powerless that I cannot do anything to help someone else, even if it would be the best thing in the world for me to do. Except if I am really lucky, I get to be a villain. But now I am a villain.
If you are a regular reader of this blog, you know that I am a real nerd, and I am a huge fan of gaming. So when I got a call from a friend who had just learned to play Superhero, I just got all nervous and excited. I have been playing Superhero for about two months now, and I think that is pretty awesome for our family.
Now, I will admit that I have no idea what Superhero is. I do know that the character of Superman made me love the character of Superman and all his heroic deeds. I also know that I love Superheroes. I have even been to Comic-Con 3 times, and have had the opportunity to meet Superheroes. I have even been to the “Superhero” panels at comic shops. I have loved every minute of Superhero.
As it turns out, I love Superheroes as well. I love Superman because he is all me. He is my hero, my savior, my role model, and my father figure. I love Superheroes because they are fun to play and to be a part of. I love playing these characters because they are all fun and different. I love playing Superheroes because it is so much fun to explore the universe of them.
